Planning concepts have changed significantly in the last decade as communities seek to balance a high quality of life, community cohesion and economic and environmental sustainability with the pressures of affordability, traffic congestion, quality education, public safety, and so on. In planning for The Next Ten, we will collaborate with the Sandy Springs community to develop a strategy for the future that applies the most effective and successful “best practices” to address both current and anticipated issues.
Throughout the planning process, we will share with you the latest thinking about a variety of planning solutions, whether these relate to transportation, open space, housing, urban design or economic development. We hope that, through this process, you will DISCOVER new ideas that you can bring to the table and share with others. And, we hope that you will enjoy the information presented!
